BATCAVE RECORDS USA & CANADA

Batcave Records is an independent record label with a particular focus on the underground music scene. The label’s founders, Rene D La Muerte and Dusty Grave, shared a common passion for Psychobilly and formed the idea for the label in the actual Bat Cave from the 1960’s TV show located in Hollywood, CA. Batcave has now expanded into Canada where the duo had joined forces with Jem Honey who brings to the table her experience as a business manager in the music industry. Combined with Rene’s 20+ year studio engineering, mixing & mastering experience and Dusty’s digital media experience. Inspired by indie labels like Epitaph, Fat Wreck Chords & Hellcat Records, the three form a cohesive unit with a common vision: to help bands record, mix, master and market their music effectively in an ever-changing landscape, with integrity and passion.

Dusty Grave

Co-founder of Batcave Records USA. Dusty is the singer of Stellar Corpses and some people say he looks an awful lot like Red Bat, the mysterious and loveable bassist of BAT! 

When Dusty started playing in bands 20+ years ago in Santa Cruz, California (aka Santa Carla), he got a job at a print shop in order to make free band flyers. There he learned computer skills which he now uses at his day job as a marketing manager, while operating Batcave Records USA by night.

Rene D La Muerte

Co-founder of Batcave Records USA and Canada. Rene is the singer and guitarist of The Brains, former drummer of Nekromantix and bares a striking resemblance to the masked crimefighting drummer-turned-guitarist of BAT!

Rene also Records, mixes and masters much of the music released by the label. Rene has been using ProTools since 2000 and has 25+ years of studio experience. He has produced many albums including all 9 albums from The Brains!

Jem Honey

Jem is the newest Partner of Batcave Records, leading the Canadian division.

After living across Canada and Europe, then being a beach bum along the Pacific Coast, Jem moved to Edmonton, Canada in 2018. Always being involved in the music industry and offering performance-anxiety coaching, she enjoys channeling her cohesive organizational skills to support artists and bands.
